Experience London from a designer’s perspective with experienced guides Kathryn Brenne and Jon
Moore. With a focus on sewing, fashion and culture Kathryn and Jon will create a unique tour for Fashion
Jon Moore established his Couture business in London, England in 2002, making Couture Clothes for
private clients from his modern studio just outside of central London, www.jonmoore.com
Jon now concentrates on his teaching projects in UK, Canada and USA, sharing a lifetime experience of
Couture Sewing Techniques.
During his career, Jon has had the privilege of working with and learning from some of the most
extraordinary and talented couture fitters, seamstresses, tailors and clients.
He has had the opportunity to work with some of the finest fabrics in the world, hand crafting them into
beautiful and unique creations.
Jon originally studied Fashion Design at Kingston University in London and after graduation in 1979 he
joined the Design Studio at Royal Couturier Hardy Amies. He held the positions of Studio Assistant,
Women’s Wear Designer and Couture Director and ultimately Design Director, a role he held for five
years until he left to set up his own business.
Jon has now been working with Kathryn on London tours for the past 5 years.
Kathryn Brenne is the founder of The Academy of fine Sewing & Design. She is one of the most prolific
writers in the industry having written sewing related articles for THREADS, Butterick, SewNews, Vogue
Patterns, Consumers Digest and emmaonesock.com . She currently works as a Vogue Pattern Designer,
contributing editor for Vogue Pattern magazine and writes inspirational tutorials for on line fabric retailer
emmaonesock. Kathryn travels extensively and has led Paris and London tours for the past fifteen years.
Participants will join Jon and Kathryn each day for scheduled activities. There will also be free time to
venture off on your own.
Activities will include:
• A visit and shopping time at an exclusive London Fabric Design House that supplies fabrics to the
• Fabric shopping at Joel and Sons, one of the best fabric shops in the world
• Fashion related museum exhibition
• Visits to Designer workrooms
• A day at Windsor Castle
• Fabric, trim, button and notion shopping
Participants will stay at a Central London hotel. The tour will begin with High Tea on Sunday March 18,
2018 and conclude at noon on Friday March 23. Participants will need to be in central London ready to
meet the group at 3pm on March 18.
Arrangements can be made for participants wanting to arrive early or extend their stay in London.
Included in the price of the tour is:
• Five nights accommodation at a central London hotel based on double occupancy
• Breakfast each day
• High Tea
• Final night’s dinner with wine at a trendy London restaurant
• All group admissions
• Transportation with the use of an Oyster card while in London
• Day to Windsor Castle includes transportation, admission, Blue Badge guide and lunch
• One River taxi ride
• Guiding services and expertise of Kathryn Brenne and Jon Moore
It is imperative that all participants be able to walk at least 5 km per day at a group pace. If participants
are unable to keep up with the group pace arrangements can be made to meet the group at the
destination via taxi. All taxi expense will be the responsibility of the individual.

Cost: $4500 Canadian based on double occupancy with a Single supplement of $840 Canadian.
*Note: This price applies to payments made via check. I am happy to provide Visa and MasterCard
payments with an additional 3% fee.
At the moment the US dollar has a 30% advantage over the Canadian dollar, which would bring the price
to approximately $3300US.

If you cancel prior to August 1, 2017 you will forfeit $500
If you cancel prior to October 1, 2017 you will forfeit $1500
If you cancel prior to December 1, 2017 you will forfeit $2500
If you cancel after December 1, 2017 up until departure you will forfeit all monies paid. This cancellation
policy is based on a room with double occupancy.
It is highly recommended that you purchase private cancellation insurance.
You will require a valid passport with an expiry date of June 2018 or longer.
It is highly recommended that you carry optional travel insurance.
Kathryn Brenne and Jon Moore assume no liability for injury, sickness, damage, loss, accident, delay
which may occur. We accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to sickness, weather,
strikes, war, acts of terrorism, flight delays, and baggage delay. All such losses or expenses will be
covered by the participant. I reserve the right to substitute a hotel of similar quality and make minor
changes to the itinerary. If I have to cancel the tour, a full refund will be given.
